About Me
Having been profoundly deaf since birth, Cochlear Implants have allowed me to ‘hear’. One of my first memories is dancing to music by feeling the vibrations through the floor; I am now able to Bluetooth music directly to my Cochlear Implant processors. Not only is listening to music one of my main hobbies, I also collect vinyl records and find inspiration in album artworks.
My main influences feature Sound and Space; designs inspired by music and lyrics and by planets and the universe help to define themes for further exploration. Exploring these themes through, not only reading and research, but through a range of design techniques, deepens my understanding. Techniques includes, mark making, letterpress, screen printing and photography alongside digital design.
Creating fantasy artworks digitally allows me to explore designs and concepts which are underpinned by participating in RPG campaigns and by journalling (Dungeons and Dragons, Critical Role).
My intention is to continue to combine traditional and digital techniques whilst adopting sustainable practices.

I created Silent Design in 2023, whilst studying towards a degree in Graphic Design at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Swansea. Being bilaterally cochlear implanted, I choose to focus on ability as opposed to disability. I enjoy seeking out creative visual solutions within design to communicate my message to others.
Equally adept with both digital skills and practical applications, I am as competent in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite as I am with the Adana Letterpress.
In addition to design, I have a strong interest in photography (digital and 35mm) and often spend time outdoors, especially at local beaches. A keen skateboarder I have more recently been learning to surf and paddleboard. These combined interests have led to experimentation in combining Polaroid photography with graphic design.
A sustainable practice is important consideration for me, and I continue to source environmentally friendly products and materials.
